Most of us at IF are young and have enjoyed a life free from threat for our own security. The events of September 11 changed that abruptly. I think it is fair to say that we have all suffered shock by the loss of life and the change in our own perception of security. We met as a group to try and understand how we might respond constructively.

We donated a frame painted red, white and blue for a raffle at Interbike to raise money for the September 11 United Way Relief Fund. Wheels were donated by Mavic, the fork was provided by Reynolds Composites, Kore provided the seat post stem and bar, Shimano provided the gruppo and, together, we raised over $7,000. IF bikes now have an American flag at the base of the down tube.
