The Resident Oracle
Jamie joined I.F. in 1998 after four years as a Boston bicycle
messenger. He worked in the finishing department for three years
before moving to tacking and machining. As head of the tacking
department Jamie is responsible for tube selection, custom frame
design, tack welding of each frame and tool making. Other
responsibilities at I.F. among many things include computer
troubleshooting and he has shot the photography for the last two
catalogs. In his free time Jamie takes landscape, nocturnal, and
insect photographs. He can be spotted morning and evening on the
longest commute at I.F. riding the Brown Bird, a custom designed
titanium supercommuter, a 26" wheeled road bike with disk brakes with
clearance for studded snow tires. He has put thousands miles on it in the
last few years.
