In 2002, Brian showed up for a freak February mountain bike ride with Keith, Tyler and the infamous Jeff Eddy. Two weeks later, after years of candy factories, architecture schools, bars, restaurants, and bike shops, he started his epic frame building career shipping for Independent Fabrication. Brian has been working in the Finishing Department until recently and is now in the Tacking department. Like everyone at IF, Brian has been cross-trained in many aspects of frame building and easily handles more than one job, but his favorite by far is his role as Factory Test Pilot for the Beatstick. He has beat the crap out of every prototype at skate parks, on trials, in the street, blasting downhill, and launching 12 foot drops, yet the frame is still in one piece, inspiring us all with confidence. "The nice thing about owning your own bike company is that you get to build your own bicycles", says Brian.
