Nothing seems to put a smile on the face of a rider like swinging a leg over a single speed. Oddly enough, nothing seems to cause as much sweat and pain either. Perhaps it is this balance of purity and hard effort required to ride a single speed well that makes them so attractive to existing IF Deluxe owners.

At IF we offer the single speed dropout at no charge for either our steel or titanium frames. The standard rear wheel spacing is 135mm and there are many fantastic hub options from great companies like Chris King, Phil Wood, Spot, Paul, and more. We are happy to space the rear triangle to the width you desire for the type of frame you are getting (Rd or Mt).

IF you are bored with your multi geared bike and want to recapture the fun you had when you were a kid it won’t take much to talk you into one of these simple machines. Go for it, but be ready to have the work out of your life depending on your local trails. Ahhhh.
